Position Overview: The Data Center Project Executive is responsible for driving growth and expanding market presence within the data center and mission-critical construction sector. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and supporting pursuit strategies for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and mission-critical data center projects.
Responsibilities for S B James Construction Data Center Project Executive, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and maintain relationships with data center owners, developers, operators, and key stakeholders
- Identify new business opportunities and repeat program work
- Track market trends and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline
- Lead or support go/no-go pursuit decisions
- Coordinate proposals, interviews, and client presentations
- Partner with preconstruction and estimating teams on early budgets and design-assist efforts
- Support value engineering, scheduling strategies, and procurement planning
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences
- Build strategic partnerships with designers, MEP contractors, and consultants
- Provide regular pipeline and market updated to leadership
What we are looking for:
- Valid driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10 years of experience in construction business development, preconstruction, or operations
- Experience with data center or mission-critical projects
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Existing industry relationships in the data center market
Full Time / Salary Range: $185k - $250k depending on experience
