What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production, Paint & Assembly Technician position at S&B Custom Innovations?
Small, locally owned manufacturer of cattle equipment and truck beds is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our production team.
This position is responsible for the preparation, painting, wiring, and assembly of finished products. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, works well with others, and is willing to learn.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare bare steel products for painting, including hanging, wiping, and cleaning parts
- Learn to spray industrial primer and paint on properly prepared steel surfaces
- Assemble finished products using basic hand tools
- Apply decals, finishing plugs, and caulk
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Manage paint and production supplies and communicate supply needs with purchasing
- Troubleshoot common recurring production problems with minimal assistance
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required PPE 100% of the time
- Work cooperatively with other production team members
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable and willing to learn
- Positive and pleasant attitude
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication, coordination, and cooperation skills
- Safety-conscious work habits
- Ability to identify and resolve common production issues independently
EXPERIENCE:
The following experience is a plus, but not required:
- Forklift operation
- Overhead crane operation
- Metal fabrication
- Custom job shop or manufacturing experience
- Industrial painting
Training opportunities are available. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday – Thursday
6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Enjoy a four-day workweek with Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off.
