Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will oversee daily operations related to supply chain management, inventory control, warehouse distribution, and transportation planning. Your proactive approach will ensure seamless order fulfillment, regulatory compliance, and optimal logistics performance across our operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain activities, including procurement, sourcing, and demand planning
- Manage inventory levels through effective inventory management and warehouse control systems
- Oversee warehouse distribution processes such as picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and materials handling
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP software to plan routes, schedule freight, and optimize transportation logistics
- Ensure compliance with transportation safety regulations and international trade regulations
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), freight carriers, and fleet management teams to streamline transportation operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics management, supply chain operations, or warehouse management system (WMS) administration
- Strong knowledge of transportation planning, freight management, and shipping logistics
- Technical proficiency with ERP systems (such as AS400 or equivalent), Microsoft Office Suite, and CMMS software
- Familiarity with road transportation operations, regulatory compliance, and safety regulations
- Excellent data analysis skills for supply chain analytics and demand forecasting
- Ability to manage team activities related to dispatching, order picking & packing, and materials handling
- Valid forklift certification preferred; experience with materials management equipment is a plus
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service within a logistics environment
