What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiver (Day Shift) position at S. Abraham & Sons, Inc.?
Starting at $17.36/hr.
Position Requires:
- Assist shipping and receiving; unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing for processing.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including hi-lo and electric pallet jack. This includes daily inspection of the equipment to be used.
- Assisting in loading palletized product onto semi trailers for delivery
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
- Filling requisitions of stock items and distributes items to shipping or designated route driver storage area
- Recording received items via computer program
- Carefully stack pallets of product on top of one another in a manner which does not damage the product.
- Bring pallets of empty boxes and totes to Order Selectors as need.
- Have Current Hi-Lo Certification – or be willing to obtain one
Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse setting. The facility is not mechanically temperature controlled. The floor surface is concrete and wood. The noise level is moderate with no vibration.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Additional hours may be required to fulfill job duties and position expectations.
- Day Shift: Monday - Friday; 5:00am - 1:30pm
