- Trade Coordination: Schedule and supervise in-house crews and subcontractors across all trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, flooring, and cabinetry.
- Quality & Safety Control: Ensure all work meets local building codes, industry standards (IICRC), and the company’s high-quality craftsmanship benchmarks.
- Budget & Material Management: Track project costs, order materials strategically to prevent delays, and ensure projects remain profitable.
- Client & Adjuster Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for homeowners during a stressful time, providing clear updates and working alongside insurance adjusters to resolve scope discrepancies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Mastery of Construction Trades: Minimum of 7–10 years of hands-on experience in residential construction. You must be proficient in explaining and inspecting work in framing, roofing, finish carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Management Provenance: At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or project management role, preferably within the restoration or remodeling industry.
- Emergency Mitigation Knowledge: Familiarity with water extraction, structural drying, and fire/smoke remediation protocols.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Xactimate or Symbility) and project management platforms is highly preferred.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of residential building codes and permitting processes.
Essential Skills
- Adaptability: The ability to pivot when unforeseen structural issues are uncovered during demolition.
- Empathy & Communication: High emotional intelligence to manage clients who have recently experienced property loss.
- Conflict Resolution: Strong negotiation skills for managing subcontractor schedules and insurance scope approvals.
