Role Description
The Wealth Planner will work with the partners and financial advisors in servicing existing and potential clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a planning centric team dedicated to creating personalized wealth advice based on each of our unique clients' goals and aspirations. The position involves partnering closely with the partners and financial advisors to maintain and enhance client relationships through active participation in the financial planning and investment process. You will be expected to assist with various tasks including portfolio reviews and preparing financial projections using our proprietary financial planning software. You must have the ability to utilize critical thinking skills, work within a team, and anticipate firm needs and client questions. Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented, structured and have a high degree of follow-through on all projects/tasks.
*Please note: This is a client-facing, non-business development role. You will play a critical part in servicing an existing book of clients versus building out a book.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Series 65 or equivalent within 120 days of employment
- CFP designation in good standing preferred; or currently pursuing
- 3-5 years of financial service experience including experience in HNW Private Client tax accounting, planning or trust and estates
- Strong interpersonal skills; team-orientated approach
- Knowledge of financial industry, financial products, financial planning concepts, CRM and custodial websites
- Orion Advisor Technology experience preferred
- Clean U-4 and regulatory record

The Responsibilities
- Service as the day-to-day contact for client needs and collaborate with team members to ensure the highest level of client service.
- Engage in advisory team business planning efforts and actively support the firm’s strategic priorities
- Work with advisors and/or portfolio manager on individual investment proposals, as requested.
- Manage all aspects of pre-client meeting activities such as preparation of meeting agendas, client paperwork, asset allocations, financial situation analysis, and client conversion process.
- Develop, revise, and present financial plans using RZH’s proprietary planning software.
- Coordinate with accountants, estate attorneys and other outside advisors as necessary to deliver holistic wealth advice
- Prepare financial analysis for clients, including cash flows, estate tax calculations, multi-generational tax strategies, educational funding, present value calculations, income tax calculations, and investment analysis and portfolio optimization.
- Develop an understanding of the fundamentals of trading. Partner with the Portfolio Manager team to approve and execute portfolios, trade recommendations, tax loss harvesting, etc.
- Continuously monitor clients’ financial situations with detail and accuracy.
- Follow up on meeting deliverables and respond to inquiries from clients and advisor team.
