Water Mitigation Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Water Mitigation Technician to join our dynamic restoration team. In this vital role, you will be on the front lines of water damage response, helping clients recover from flooding, leaks, and other water-related incidents. Your expertise will ensure that affected properties are restored efficiently and safely, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to water damage emergencies, including flooding, leaks, and storm-related incidents, ensuring rapid mitigation efforts.
• Perform water extraction using specialized equipment such as pumps and wet vacuums, ensuring thorough removal of moisture.
• Conduct thorough cleaning and drying of affected areas, including carpet cleaning and the use of power tools for demolition or repairs.
• Assist with mold remediation efforts by identifying mold growth and applying appropriate removal techniques following safety protocols.
• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly to transport equipment and team members to job sites.
• Follow strict safety procedures by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection, and adhering to all safety protocols during operations.
• Document job progress accurately using industry-standard software like Xactimate for estimating damages and repairs.
• Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service, explaining processes clearly and addressing any concerns professionally.
• Maintain a clean work environment by performing general cleaning tasks post-restoration projects.
• Support fire restoration projects when needed, including debris removal and structural drying.

Skills

• Proven experience in water damage restoration or flood restoration industries with a strong understanding of mitigation processes.
• Knowledge of mold remediation techniques and fire restoration procedures.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other restoration machinery proficiently.
• Familiarity with Xactimate or similar estimating software is preferred.
• Strong emergency response readiness with the ability to work on-call during off-hours or weekends as needed.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients.
• Construction experience is a plus for understanding building structures during repairs or demolition phases.
• Commitment to safety protocol adherence by properly using PPE and respiratory protection at all times during operations.
• Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly while following all traffic laws and safety guidelines.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
