What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd & 3rd Shift Melt Operator (62220) position at RYOBI DIE CASTING INC USA?
We are looking for dependable Melt Operators with fork truck experience to join our Ryobi Team. This position requires someone comfortable with following well-defined processes and working with a safety-first mindset to be responsible for the operation of melting furnaces and the transfer of molten metal to holding furnaces using a fork truck with a rotating ladle on front. You will work in a hot environment, similar to a foundry and learn to operate and maintain 3500 ton die cast machines.

What You'll Do:
- Transfers molten metal to holding furnaces.
- Melts re-melt, sows, ingot, and molten as directed.
- Unloads molten metal trucks.
- Pours and pulls ladles as directed.
- Prepares sows for charging.
- Unloads raw materials.
- Prepares sow lists.
- Assists in the repair of furnaces and furnace doors.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Fork truck experience; previously certified is preferable.
- Work in manufacturing plant conditions, including exposure to dirt, fumes, noise and cleaning chemicals.
- Walking regularly.
- Ability to lift and move 40-80 pounds.
- Regular kneeling, squatting or working in otherwise uncomfortable work positions.
- Standing and bending for extended periods of time.
