What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time - Retail Stocker - Grand Ole Opry position at Ryman Hospitality Properties?
As a Retail Stocker, you'll work as part of a team to showcase our merchandise, deliver exceptional service, and help guests appreciate our musical legacy. You'll support the retail team by ensuring shipments are accurately received, stockroom is maintained, and sales floor is stocked, to quickly service guests' needs. Our retail locations range from traditional gift shop environments to live performance venues. You'll keep a well-organized stockroom and efficiently stock a high-traffic sales floor. As the ideal candidate you will be self-motivated and eager to contribute to a positive team environment.
Speak and hear to communicate with guests and use both near and distance vision for operating the POS system, reading SKUs, and completing merchandising tasks. Stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and while carrying items. Frequently climb stairs throughout the venue and use ladders to access storage areas. Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and occasionally sit, kneel, bend, and reach to stock merchandise. Manual dexterity to perform tasks such as using a computer and handling merchandise.
Working Conditions
High-traffic retail and entertainment environments with large crowds and elevated noise levels.
- Receive and process daily shipments. Maintain accurate accounting using current inventory management systems. Relay inventory concerns to leadership.
- Inspect shipment for incorrect counts, damage, etc. Ensure issues are noted and all invoice documents signed. Communicate with warehouse as needed.
- Maintain a well-stocked and organized sales floor throughout the day.
- Deliver exceptional service to all guests. Actively greet and welcome all guests into our carefully curated retail space.
- Maintain order and cleanliness of salesfloor and stockroom areas. Dust displays, sweep floors, empty trash bins, clean windows, etc. as needed.
- Communicate facility or maintenance concerns to leadership team.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report equipment malfunction, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 years' of experience in customer service, sales, and/or cash handling preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills require
- Able to work during peak times, including weekends and holidays, to support business needs
