What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Systems & Integration Engineer position at Rylex?
We are seeking a Principal Systems and Integration Engineer (SE&I) to provide enterprise-wide systems engineering and integration support to an operational government customer within the Intelligence Community. This position manages moderately sized projects or processes with minimal oversight and provides measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement customer integrations and objectives. The position works in a SCIF environment with flexible work hours to support work/life balance.
Location: Dulles, VA (On-site)
Compensation: $240,000 - $285,000
What You Will Do
• Perform project management and project leadership tasks, collaborating with a range of customer and contractor teams
• Provide Mission Protection knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA) to assigned projects, the enterprise, and other entities as directed by the customer
• Serve as an advisor on mission resiliency topics and capabilities
• Conduct detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand fluctuating problems and determine appropriate resolutions
• Lead interactions and support multiple missions, including the initialization of new missions
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
• Minimum 8 years of prior engineering experience (P4 level) or equivalent
• KSA in Mission Protection, Mission Resiliency, Customer Operations, Tasking, and/or Collections
• Experience with project management
• Experience working collaboratively in a team environment (Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor)
• Request for Change (RFC) impact review and assessment experience
• Experience in enterprise-level planning and implementation
• Systems installation, integration, and test experience
• An active and transferable TS/SCI with CI Polygraph U.S. government security clearance is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance
Desired Qualifications
• Experience with Customer NSIS and/or rapid delivery methods
• Established customer relationships
• Experience working across contract and location boundaries
• Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
