Duties
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a lively and professional attitude, making them feel valued and comfortable
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service transitions
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring all materials are stocked and ready for daily operations
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times or reservations
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their overall experience
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, turning potential issues into positive interactions
Experience
- Previous experience as a Host or Hostess in a food service or restaurant environment is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in diverse settings
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience working in hospitality settings like hotels or upscale dining establishments is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to foster positive interactions at all times
- Knowledge of food service operations, serving protocols, and guest services standards is beneficial
