As a Maintenance Mechanic you are responsible for a wide range of activities in the area of overall Plant and Facilities maintenance. The position requires the ability to be flexible, self-directed and have an understanding of production requirements in a service orientated company. The main focus of the position is to keep the production and material handling equipment safely maintained to maximize efficiency, ensure a safe operation and ensure on time delivery of product. Assistance with Capital Project/new equipment planning, dealing with vendors for parts and services are also a requirement.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Always works in a safe and efficient manner
- Repairs and maintains plant equipment in an efficient manner on a daily basis
- Creates and utilizes preventive maintenance program and keeps files up-to-date
- Helps to eliminate machine downtime
- Coordinates outside maintenance services as required
- Orders parts as required to keep equipment operating in a safe/efficient basis
- Follows all Company ISO policies and procedures
- Keeps work areas clean and organized
- All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably steel processing
- Working knowledge of electricity, welding & burning, hydraulic repair
- PLC knowledge and understanding
- Machine repair, crane repair, preventive maintenance programs
- Must be able to read blueprints and also order parts and supplies
- Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility
- Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding
