What are the responsibilities and job description for the JV Volleyball Head Coach position at Rye Country Day School?
Rye Country Day School is seeking a Girls JV Volleyball Head Coach. The volleyball season takes place between August 24th- November 9th. Required hours during the season are Monday - Friday, 3pm-6pm. Involvement in the middle school girls volleyball program is encouraged but not required. Middle school athletics takes place Monday-Friday from 2pm- 3:30pm.

Specific responsibilities of the position include:
- Serve as Head Girls JV Volleyball Coach for the Upper School
- Effectively planning and organizing both practice and competition calendars in conjunction with Athletic Director and Staff
- Creating an inclusive, exciting, and challenging environment each day
- Collaborating with the assistant coaches in planning and communication
- Maintaining a safe environment at all times
- Communicating with athletes, parents, coaches, and opponents in a professional manner
Desired qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-years successful high school Girls Head or Assistant Coaching experience
- A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate and inspire athletes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive school community
- Energetic and enthusiastic, flexible and patient
