Position Overview
As a Contract Fleet Manager, you’ll help keep our scooters charged, parked correctly, and ready for riders. This independent contractor role is ideal for self-starters looking for flexible hours and active, hands-on work. You’ll relocate scooters, swap batteries, and report any damage using our mobile app.
Key Responsibilities
- Rebalance Scooters – Move scooters from random drop-off spots to designated parking zones.
- Battery Swapping – Replace low or dead batteries with fully charged ones.
- Damage Inspections – Check for wear, vandalism, or other issues. Tag and report as needed.
- Fleet Reporting – Log scooter conditions and actions taken through the company app.
Pay
- $25 per service visit to the waterfront. Each visit includes swapping scooter batteries, repositioning scooters if needed, and making sure everything is organized and ready for riders. Most visits take less than 30 minutes, though occasionally it may take up to about an hour depending on the situation. During warmer days, you can expect up to 3 visits per day.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years old
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable using a smartphone for reporting and tracking
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
- Access to a van, SUV, or truck is a plus
- A company van can be provided if needed
Schedule & Flexibility
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position
- You’ll be notified when tasks are available
- Work will always be needed on weekends; weekday availability is more flexible
