Role Description

RYCOE Enterprises is hiring a Lead Heavy Equipment Mechanic to oversee and perform maintenance and repairs on our heavy and medium-duty fleet. What you would be responsible for:
- Lead and perform repairs and maintenance on heavy and medium-duty equipment
- Serve as the subject matter expert for mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Develop and manage a proactive preventative maintenance program
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment meet safety and compliance standards
- Maintain a clean organized and efficient shop
- Provide management with updates on repair trends delays and fleet readiness
- Mentor and develop team members
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and service records
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years mechanical experience (excavation and/or agricultural equipment preferred)
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capability
- Prior leadership or team oversight experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid NYS Driver’s License (CDL a plus)
- Deep knowledge of safe and efficient use of industry tools
- A professional who takes pride in doing things the right way
Compensation & Benefits
- $30.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience and leadership level)
