Position SummaryAs a JIRA Project & Portfolio Administrator, you will oversee portfolio operations and have delivery ownership of related projects including planning, execution, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives, and monitoring and reporting progress. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing project data, ensure consistency across portfolio while supporting the portfolio manager with resource plans, assessing risks and implementing mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate thrives in a demanding environment and is experienced mentoring junior staff.What will your job entail?Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery: Develop project plans, define scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely and successful completion of projects. Identify and manage project risks and execute project performance against established metrics and objectives.Administration and Operational Oversight: Manage complex portfolio in Jira including project configurations, system settings, and ensure data accuracy across projects. Collect, interpret, and report on project data (progress, financials, risks) to guide management decisions. Create performance dashboards to enhance transparency and executive decision making.Portfolio Support & Process Improvement: Assist portfolio managers with demand planning, intake / prioritization and budget / financial reporting. Review current process, identify risk factors, and enhance operational efficiencies to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Provide end-user support, training, and best practices.Stakeholder Communication: Facilitates clear communication among project team members, stakeholders and leadership to ensure alignment and transparency. Prepare leadership presentations (Steering Committee, Monthly Business Review, and ad hoc).Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate policies, methodologies (like Agile/Scrum), and SDLC standards.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree with 5 years' experience in project or portfolio management.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Atlassian certifications (ACP-600, ACP-120), ITIL Foundation preferred.• Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI - ACP) preferred.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills.Technical SkillsProficient in Jira administration and Atlassian ecosystem (Confluence, BitBucket).Proficient in building, maintaining and optimizing reports and dashboards in Jira and PowerBI.Experience with workflow customizations, permission schemes, and automation.Ryan Specialty is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
