Duties
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and compliance with internal controls.
- Oversee cash management activities, including forecasting, cash flow analysis, and bank reconciliations using financial software.
- Assist in internal controls testing related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and implement process improvements for efficiency.
- Perform technical accounting research on complex transactions.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes while ensuring adherence to deadlines and accuracy of financial data.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to financial statements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred..
- Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, debits & credits, and financial statement writing.
- Proficiency with accounting software; experience with financial management tools is essential.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for reporting purposes.
- Experience in managing accounts payable/receivable processes along with cash management activities.
- Ability to perform detailed balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis efficiently.
- Exceptional organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating across teams.
