We are a full-service accounting and tax advising firm that provides top-tier service to clients. We operate with the same entrepreneurial and capitalist principles as our clients, with a primary focus of getting their taxes as close to zero as possible while handling anything tax and accounting on their behalf. The business has grown organically with only word of mouth and current client referrals into 7 figures of revenue and we are going to accelerate the growth. To drive that growth we are now accepting applications for the Demand Generation Marketing Manager role from qualified candidates with at least 2 years of experience, big bonus points if you've worked with tax or accounting firms before.

 

The Role:

We’re looking for a creative demand gen marketing expert that knows how to create interest and convert it to revenue -- and wants to earn additional commissions for the revenue they create. You'll help build the digital marketing strategy from the ground up and share in the upside. Fully in-office, working with the team in Irvine.

 

Earning Your Spot:

We believe in new hires competing to earn a spot on the team to prove they can elevate the company's work product and service to clients -- and we believe in rewarding them generously! We're hiring multiple folks and offering full time roles to candidates that crush it. You'll start as a contractor for the first 60 days as a "try out" period, with full time offers extended at the 60 day mark, or sooner for top performers.

If you're currently employed? You'll work 15-20 hours a week on-site at our office in Irvine, with flexible hours available. The option to jump straight in to 35 hours a week during the try out period is available for qualified folks. We'll provide the tech stack for you to work -- think dedicated computer, monitor, any other equipment you need -- so you can showcase your abilities.

 

The Hiring Process Step by Step:

#1 Apply online and tell us about your background, career goals, and why you're a great fit. New hires are advised to not use AI generated responses; it's not a good look because we want to hear from YOU, not a canned generic response that's the same as the previous applicant!

#2 Qualified applicants will be invited to share more information via questionnaire.

#3 After the questionnaires you'll meet with the hiring manager via video call. We want you to share more about your background, your career goals and how we can help you achieve them, and so you can walk us through a real-world case study of your past success in demand generation.

#4 Crushed the skills assessment? Final stage is a video call interview with the owner so we can hear about you and how you'll improve the team -- and how we can help you achieve your career goals.

 

Starting Compensation:

$1000 signing bonus payable after you crush the first two weeks at work.

New hires join the team as independent contractors at $40 - $45 hourly during the try out period, with the final hourly wage based on the value you will bring to the team. Payroll is bi-weekly and via direct deposit. Full-time offers will be made to exceptional candidates with an annual base salary of $80,000 - $90,000 and a 15% performance based bonus paid quarterly -- so total compensation with bonus will range from $92,000 to $103,500.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design marketing strategy and a roadmap from the ground up across social media, email newsletters, podcasts, paid advertising, and referral partnerships.
  • Establish performance goals and analytics, including the compensation plan for the revenue your work generates.
  • Develop a digital content strategy with the business owner and then help create, edit, and distribute the content.

 

Must Have's for New Team Members:

  • Dealbreaker: 2 years of demand gen experience, with proven and verifiable ability to create interest and drive revenue.
  • Strong understanding of marketing platforms to create campaigns across different platforms, measure progress, and optimize the conversion rates over time.
  • Marketing savvy and a sales mentality. Know how to reach people, create buzz, and hand off qualified prospects to the business owner for final sales and closing.
  • Experience working in Slack and Google Drive.
  • Own your successes, own your mistakes, be coachable and look out for the firm and your clients.

 

Nice to Have's:

  • Previous experience and success working with firms in the accounting or tax industry.
  • Experience working in Karbon.
