As a Tree Pruner / Arborist, you’ll work as part of a skilled crew to care for trees and shrubs on residential and commercial client properties — contributing to a healthier urban forest, one property at a time.

As a Tree Pruner / Arborist, you’ll work as part of a skilled crew to care for trees and shrubs on residential and commercial client properties — contributing to a healthier urban forest, one property at a time.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tree pruning, canopy work, and structural pruning following industry best practices
- Assist with tree removal, shrub pruning, mulch installation, and stump grinding as needed
- Work safely at height — climbing and/or operating aerial equipment — while following all safety protocols
- Operate small engine equipment including chain saws, pole saws, shears, and string trimmers
- Function effectively as both a team member and an independent operator depending on the task
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding the scope, process, and expectations of services
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site throughout each project

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift 50 lbs. and walk 3 miles per day
- Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions
- Willingness to learn how to climb and work aloft safely
- Ability to obtain DOT certification & pass drug screenings
- Valid driver’s license required
- Strong team-player mindset with a commitment to safety
- Prior experience in a professional tree care, landscaping, or forestry environment
- Familiarity with ANSI A300 pruning and safety standards
- Experience operating aerial lifts or bucket trucks
- SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION: This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the operation of vehicles and equipment. All candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana), criminal background check, MVR check, and DOT physical (where applicable) before starting employment. Candidates must meet all screening requirements as a condition of employment.
