What does a landscape plant maintenance crew member do?
- Maintain landscaped areas and plant material on residential and commercial properties. Pruning, mulching, weeding, cutbacks, and cleanups on a regular schedule and as needed.
- Assist with landscape install and tree work as needed/seasonally.
- Work well independently as well as on a team while caring for customer properties.
- Interact professionally with customers on a daily basis communicating the process and expectations of services.
- Possess a general knowledge of plant maintenance practices.
- Continue on the job training for all aspects of RYAN provided services along with recommendations for other RYAN services as needed on their property.
Requirements
- 3 years’ experience in landscape plant maintenance or related field
- High school diploma, (Horticulture degree preferred)
- Working knowledge of plant identification, proper pruning and common issues by species
- Commercial applicator's license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to push/pull objects while walking up to 3 miles a day
