Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing and inspection of fire alarm systems
- Apply knowledge of NFPA 72 testing and inspection requirements
- Document findings accurately and communicate clearly with the team
- Safely climb ladders and operate lifts (comfortable working at heights)
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Work independently or as part of a team
- Demonstrate strong technical and mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read and interpret schematics
- Understand basic electrical concepts (switches, relays, inputs/outputs)
- Diagnose issues such as ground faults, open circuits, and shorted circuits
- Use a multi-meter and phone butt-set
- Disable fire alarm panel NAC circuits when required
- NICET I or II in Fire Alarm or Testing & Inspection is a plus, but not required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- Physically able to perform duties of the trade
- If applicable, must have an honorable or general military discharge
- Must pass a drug test
