Well-recognized, conscientious, gastroenterologist in Sterling, Virginia is seeking a full-time medical administrative assistant. On the job training is provided and will include education on diseases of the digestive tract.

Duties:
- Schedule office visit and procedure appointments
- Answer phone
- Check in/ check out
- Collect copays
- Prepare charts (documents for follow-up/new patient appointments)
- Prepare procedure recall letters
- Verify insurances
- Medication prior authorizations
- Patient work up
- Confirm office visits
- Prepare exam rooms
- Request medical records
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office environment preferred but not required
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent patient service and communication skills
- Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA regulations
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Professional attire required.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
