What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Associate Auditor position at Ryan Consulting Group, LLC?
This Audit / Assurance Senior role is designed for high‑performing public accounting professionals who have completed at least one busy season at the Senior level and are ready to expand beyond the traditional audit career path.
As a Professional Resource, you will deliver hands‑on accounting and financial advisory support to dynamic client environments while developing as a leader through a structured, long‑term professional journey. Rather than rotating through repetitive engagements, you’ll gain exposure to complex, high‑impact projects where your technical expertise, judgment, and leadership presence truly matter. This role offers significant autonomy —you have a voice in the types of engagements you support, the clients you work with, and the level of travel you’re willing to take on, while unlocking meaningfully higher earning potential through an uncapped incentive model tied to your impact.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA license or active progression toward CPA
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in external audit / assurance
- At least one completed busy season as an Audit Senior
- Direct client‑facing experience supporting external audits
- Experience with mid‑market to large clients ($500M–$3B revenue)
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting
Preferred:
- Experience across public accounting and/or private industry
- For asset management clients: $7B AUM experience
Other Incentives:
- Uncapped incentive compensation with significantly higher earning potential than traditional public accounting roles—your impact directly drives your income
- Freedom and autonomy to influence the types of engagements you work on, the clients you support, and the trajectory of your career
- Select your travel designation annually, offering flexibility over lifestyle while still accessing premium opportunities and rewards
- Company‑sponsored travel events and training, including immersive leadership experiences and firmwide gatherings
- Robust mentorship model, pairing every professional with multiple dedicated mentors focused on long‑term growth and leadership development
- Intentional leadership training designed to build executive presence, advisory confidence, and people‑leadership skills early in your career
- Entrepreneurial environment that rewards ownership, initiative, and performance—not tenure or a rigid promotion timeline
