The VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) intern assists the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies

The hourly wage is $20-$25/hour . The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Some Things You Can Expect To Do
- Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety.
- Assist VDC Engineers and Managers in daily responsibilities, including model management, design coordination, field support, and other requests from the project team.
- Assist project teams in creation of pursuit materials and other exhibits.
- Learn core VDC software and processes, including Autodesk and Adobe products
- Develop and maintain site logistics and schedule sequencing models
- Partner with project VDC resources and team members to create virtual mockups
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
- Within 18 months of graduating with a four-year degree in Construction Engineering/Management or closely-related field.
- Able to work 40 hours a week for at least a three-month term.
- In order to fully learn this role and understand what it means to work for Ryan, eight months is the ideal length of time for this type of role.
- Have a general knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
- Have the ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Possess the ability to read and understand contracts, specifications and architectural and engineering drawings.
- Communicate clearly orally and in writing.
- Positions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
