Support the Senior Manager with evaluations, approvals, and financial analyses that inform pricing and transportation management decisions; monitor reporting to ensure compliance with established financial guidelines.
- Oversee daily workflow to ensure efficient, timely, accurate invoice auditing and processing, including resolution of exception invoices and management of overcharge/undercharge claims.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external carriers to identify, address, and resolve carrier payment, billing discrepancies, and related issues.
- Lead all management-level responsibilities for direct reports, including hiring, performance reviews, coaching, counseling, employee development, and corrective actions; develop reporting and initiatives to strengthen bench depth and increase team flexibility.
- Collaborate with Operations and IT to design, test, and implement new systems and system enhancements that support freight payment and audit processes.)
- 5 years of experience in billing, collections, audit, accounts receivable, accounts payable or transportation/logistics
- The ability to develop customer and cross-departmental relationships to achieve objectives
- To embrace people development and cross training to effectively manage turnover and PTO. In addition, you’ll promote a positive culture and team environment.
- Comfort with ambiguous challenges that require a new solution and establishment of a process outside of current norms.
- Transportation Invoicing and Freight Payment Department Leadership Experience
- Audit background (i.e. Public Accounting or other related experience
- EDI Implementation and Process Experience
- Technology familiarity, such as experience with SQL, RPA and advanced Excel skills
