Job Summary" Painter II (Powder Coater)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Painter II (Powder Coater) to join our team at the Madera facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal parts using powder coating techniques to ensure a durable and high-quality finish. This role requires precision, efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply powder coating to metal components using spray equipment and ovens
- Inspect finished products for quality, color consistency, and proper coverage
- Operate and maintain coating equipment, spray guns, and curing ovens
- Mix and match powder colors according to specifications
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Assist in troubleshooting coating issues and perform touch-ups when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards
- Additional duties assigned by management
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in powder coating or industrial painting
- Knowledge of powder coating techniques, equipment, and curing processes
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in coating operations
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts safely
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
