What You’ll Be Doing
- Clinical Oversight: Review and validate medication orders for accuracy, ensuring all prescriptions are clinically appropriate regarding patient allergies and potential drug-drug interactions.
- Sterile Compounding: Prepare and admix intravenous medications using precise formulas and aseptic techniques.
- Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all pharmacy operations maintain strict adherence to state and federal regulations, as well as institutional safety codes.
- Consultation & Support: Act as a primary resource for patients and medical staff, providing expert drug information and counseling.
- Collaborative Care: Transition seamlessly between working independently and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Information Security: Uphold the highest standards of patient privacy and data confidentiality.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience in an inpatient/hospital setting is required.
- Licensure: Must be a licensed Pharmacist in good standing in the state of Michigan.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage the workflow of a high-volume retail setting while maintaining the clinical focus required for inpatient care.
- Efficiency: Ability to start as soon as possible.
