Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a commitment to maintaining beautiful landscapes. This role involves various tasks including: basic lawn care, some hardscaping, sod and mulch installation, tree/bush trimming, aeration/seeding and yard cleanups. The Landscape Laborer will work closely with other team members and myself to ensure that all landscaping projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. We work in a FAST paced environment with attention to detail of lawns. We are not a mow, blow and go company. Each customer has their own expectation of how they want their lawn to look. We are here to provide that service to them. Working along side of our team, you will learn about each individual customers lawn and see that we are not like a big corporate lawn business where every yard is taken care of the same way. We take pride in the various services provided to our customers. In return for this care, we have been recognized in our local community's "Next Door's Fan Favorite Business" for the years of 2022, 2023 and 2024.
We ask that no loud cursing is to be spoken while at a customers property as it is disrespectful. If you cannot pass a drug test, do NOT apply. You must have transportation to our meeting point. We are a small, local lawn business without the perks of big corporate benefits. We do not offer health/dental insurance or 401k. Pay is based on experience, quality performed and is paid weekly.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks such as mowing, trimming and edging lawns.
- Assist in landscape maintenance activities including weeding, mulching and planting.
- Operate Zero turn mower, Push mower, equipment safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks.
- Build landscape features such as flower beds, retaining walls and pathways as needed.
- Follow safety protocols while working in various outdoor environments.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet client expectations.
Skills
- Experience in grounds keeping or landscape maintenance is required.
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques and best practices for plant health.
- Ability to operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers and mowers safely.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and client interaction.
- A willingness to learn new skills related to landscaping and maintenance tasks.
