DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Azure L2 Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Azure Landing Zone implementation, cloud infrastructure provisioning, and Azure platform operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise-grade Azure environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure deployments.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience with Azure networking, identity, security, automation, CI/CD integration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure environments by providing L2 operational support, incident management, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure services including App Services, VNets, Front Door, SQL Database, Blob Storage, Azure Monitor & Application Insights, DNS & Private DNS Zones, Container Apps/Functions, NSG, WAF, Private Endpoints, and Firewall.
• Implement and manage Azure Landing Zone architecture aligned with enterprise governance standards, including configuration of management groups, policies, RBAC, subscription structures, network topology, and security baselines to ensure compliance.
• Provision infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM Templates; automate deployments and operational tasks using Azure DevOps Pipelines, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and YAML pipelines.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking and security components including VNet Peering, Private Link, VPN Gateway, NSG, Firewall, and WAF policies, while implementing secure connectivity and segmentation strategies.
• Configure monitoring, alerting, and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights; ensure infrastructure health, performance monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Application, Security, and Development teams to support CI/CD deployments, release management activities, and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Landing Zone implementation, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates), and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Azure Networking & Security (VNet Peering, NSG, Firewall, WAF, Private Endpoints, VPN Gateway), along with proven ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure environments.
• Proficiency in Identity and Access Management using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Experience working with Container Apps / AKS and hosting .NET applications on Azure.
• Knowledge of advanced security features such as WAF, DDoS protection, and Private Link.
• Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, and Terraform Associate are preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, effective communication and documentation abilities, and a collaborative, proactive approach to work.
