We are seeking Costume Characters at LEGOLAND® New York in Goshen, New York for the Daily Park Opening Show, Character Meet & Greets, Hotel Events. This role may perform in both the theme park and hotel locations. We are looking for high-energy performers to bring these Costume Characters to life!
Costumed Character Performers must be willing to perform as a costumed character in a full body costume like a mascot as well as serve as a character sidekick when needed. Responsibilities of a character sidekick include assisting during character meet-and-greets, being the voice for the character, and engaging with guests to create a welcoming and interactive experience. Performers will be working in various indoor and outdoor climates and must be comfortable wearing a full character costume for up to 30 minutes at a time. This role requires individuals who are comfortable performing in enclosed character costumes.
In the hotel setting, performers will support family-focused programming such as character meet-and-greets, hosting games for families, leading dance parties, and reading from a book during scheduled Storytime experiences. Performers should be comfortable speaking with guests, facilitating activities, and maintaining high energy while interacting with children and families.
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Dates: now - November 22, 2026
Hours: approximately 8 hours per shift between 9:00am and 9:00pm
Workweek: typically 2-5 days a week depending on operational need

- Must be between 5'1" and 5'5"
- This is full body costume like a mascot with head fully covered
- Must be local to Goshen, New York or surrounding area
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have weekend availability
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States

- Must be 18 years of age or older
- This is a non-union job
