The Special Procedure Technologist performs proper radiographic procedures as required by physician orders. Provides patient service using diagnostic, portable and fluoroscopic equipment. Technologist is competent in the production of quality radiographs for proper treatment and diagnosis by physicians.

Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate of Approved School of Radiologic Technology
- NJ Licensure
- ARRT Certification
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Successful completion of department-specific orientation
- ACLS
- Day Shift
- Per Diem scheduling
- Weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call component with 30-minute response time required
- Professional caregiver who is responsible for the preparation of the patient prior to the procedure
- To assist the physician during the performance of cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary intervention, peripheral angiograms and interventions, permanent pacemaker procedures, and neurological angiograms and interventions
- Participates in unit Quality Improvement evaluation activities
- Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to provide age-specific treatment
