Job Overview : A sleep technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director and the Administrative Director of Pulmonary & Sleep services to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology and can provide oversight of other sleep center staff.Qualifications : Required :
- Current New Jersey State License as a Polysomnographic Technologist and / or Respiratory Therapist
- At least one year experience as a sleep technologist.Preferred :
- Qualification to obtain, or possession of the CCSH (Certification in Clinical Sleep Health) preferred.Certifications and Licenses Required :
- Be registered by the ABSM, BRPT, or NBRC (Certification by the ABSM, BRPT, or NBRC does NOT satisfy this qualification.)
- Maintain current CPR or BLS certification.Scheduling Requirements :

- Perform routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation
- Respond to sleep patients procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate education utilizing sleep center specific protocols
- Adhere to sleep center policies and procedures
- Inspect and maintain sleep study related equipment and inventory
- Review and evaluate sleep studies and provide appropriate feedback to staff
