Job Overview
The Patient Care Technician functions under the direct supervision of a professional nurse. He/she performs specific duties and is considered an integral part of the nursing team. He/she will assist the nurse in gathering information and making observations regarding the patient’s condition. In this role, you will work under the direction of the RN to provide care to the patients on the unit. Some of the responsibilities include but are not limited to: Taking vital signs, EKGS, performing phlebotomy, assisting or providing patients with bedside care, i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association only
- Enrolled in a Nursing Program, current EMT certification, Medical Assistant Certified, Phlebotomist Certified, EKG tech or equivalent
- BLS certification through American Heart Association
- Days, 7a-3p
- Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs
- Full Time
- Mandatory Orientation
