Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician or OB Technician program OR equivalent experience
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
- Prior experience in Labor & Delivery or Operating Room
- Certified Surgical Technologist
- Knowledge of obstetrical procedures and sterile technique
- Must be available to work 2 shifts a month- 1 of them being a weekend shift
- Must work 1 Summer Holiday
- Must work 1 Winter Holiday
- Assist physicians and nurses during vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Set up and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Prepare delivery rooms and operating rooms for procedures
- Perform surgical scrub duties for C-sections
- Stock and maintain supplies, instruments, and equipment
- Assist with patient transport and positioning
- Clean, disinfect, and turnover rooms between patients.
- Support emergency situations such as stat sections, hemorrhage etc
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
