Job Overview
- Provide thorough assessment, triage, and management of patient and family needs throughout the disease process as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with supervising physicians while adhering to state laws and hospital policies to deliver team-based care
- Conduct medical history assessments, physical exams, and manage diagnostic and treatment plans, including chemotherapy prescribing
- Educate patients and families on care processes and available resources, collaboratively discussing treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Offer psychosocial support to patients and their loved ones in a compassionate and ethical manner
- Opportunity to assist in the operating room as needed
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
- 1-2 years of experience in Gyn and/or Oncology is preferred
- Surgical and chemotherapy experience is an advantage
- Active, unrestricted Connecticut medical license or in process of obtaining
- ACLS/BLS certification as required
- DEA License
