A typical day for a Medical Assistant may include:

• Preparing patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit
• Assisting physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures, anticipating clinical needs to support efficient, high-quality care
• Performing clinical tasks such as administering injections, collecting specimens, conducting point-of-care testing, and completing other duties within the scope of practice
• Accurately documenting patient information, test results, and provider instructions within the electronic medical record to support continuity of care
• Coordinating patient flow by preparing exam rooms, maintaining supplies, ordering, and helping ensure appointments run efficiently
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients regarding medications, treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and preventive care
• Scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and collaborating with the care team to support seamless patient experiences
• Contributing to a collaborative team environment where professionalism, communication, and patient-centered care are shared priorities
• Pursuing ongoing professional development through training, continuing education, and organizational resources that support long-term career growth

• This per diem day shift position requires Saturday availability. 
• A high school diploma or GED, valid current American Heart Association BLS certification, and successful completion of all Orientation Programs are required.
• A minimum of 6 months CMA experience and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, Epic, knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with computer/data entry, managing care systems, and Certified Medical Assistant certification (AAMA, AECA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NCMA, or NHA) is preferred.
