Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors Degree or advanced degree with major studies in Foods and Nutrition or Dietetics
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration CDR or eligible to sit for Registered Dietitian Examination
- Flex Schedule
- Coverage for weekends, holiday, and weekly coverage as needed
- Develops and implements nutrition care plans for all assigned patients according to a patient s disease state and lifecycle.
- Provides nutrition education to patient and family members.
- Responsible for documentation of patient s progress in the electronic medical record EPIC, according to department policies.
- Continuously evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutritional therapy intervention, according to procedural guidelines for assessment/re-assessment.
- Participates in performance evaluation and improvement activities.
- Collaborates with dietetic technicians; Aids in the maintenance of accurate cardfile records in Health Touch.
- Mentors dietetic interns/students, as assigned by Clinical Nutrition Manager.
- Maintains professional development and competency.
- Maintain effective verbal and written communications within the department.
- Participates in other department responsibilities with the rest of the Clinical Nutrition team, as assigned by Clinical Nutrition Manager.
