Job Overview:
Gathers and facilitates the coordination of patient data with regards to clinical outcomes pertaining to open heart surgery, Submits data to outside regulatory agencies and National databases.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the State of New Jersey,
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing,
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred,
- At least 2 years clinical experience in Open Heart Surgery,

Essential Functions:
- Analyzes data and recommends performance improvement
- Analyzes data and recommends performance improvement activities,
- Assists in compiling statistical data for regulatory
- Assists in compiling statistical data for regulatory agencies
- Develops strategies in conjunction with the department chair and Vice
- Develops strategies in conjunction with the department chair and Vice President to disseminate the data as deemed appropriate
- Ensures accuracy and validity of all data elements entered into CAOS, STS
- Ensures accuracy and validity of all data elements entered into CAOS, STS and department of health databases,
- Maintains CAOS database and communicates to the Vice President any
- Maintains CAOS database and communicates to the Vice President any software/hardware issues in a timely manner
- Meets all data submission dead
- Meets all data submission dead lines,
- Participates in Mortality and Morbidity review
- Participates in Mortality and Morbidity review process
