Job Description
- Monitors operations of telephone and paging systems
- Ensures that telephone equipment is in good working order and that problems are reported to the proper department
- Monitors emergency alarms and medical alarms located in the office
- Communicates medical and other information to authorized recipients
- Operates the hospital s telecommunication systems i,e,
- multi-line phone systems and computer based switchboards and in-house paging system
- Announces and beeps medical codes, disasters, and other emergencies in accordance with hospital and system policies
- Maintain accurate records of emergency calls
- Demonstrates a thorough awareness of and familiarity with information resources in the department
- Works closely with other hospital staff to ensure seamless communication and patient satisfaction
