Job Overview:
Develops, implements and evaluates programs for orientation, competency assessment, training and continuing education for all levels of staff in the Med/Surg Cardiac Units. Provides support for clinical practice at point of care. Role models patient care practices through direct patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements and evaluates programs for orientation, competency assessment, training and continuing education for all levels of staff on the cardiac units
- Provides support for clinical practice at point of care
- Role models patient care practices through direct patient care
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Nursing required,
- Master s Degree in Nursing preferred,
- Minimum of three years experience in cardiac/med-surg nursing,
- Knowledge of principles of adult learning,
- Experience using an electronic health record, preferably Epic,
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with others effectively,
- Competent in use of all Microsoft Office applications,
- Effective verbal and written communication skills,
- AHA BLS and ACLS Provider required,
- National Nursing Certification required,
- If not certified at time of hire, expectation to receive certification within one year of hire,
- Current New Jersey RN license,
Schedule requirements:
Day shift 40 hours per week
