Job Summary
RWJUH is seeking a part time APP for the MICU. This position will work collaboratively with the Rutgers faculty to provide acute critical care.
Essential Functions
- APP will be responsible for rounding on and managing critical care patients in collaboration with the faculty and resident team,
- The APP should be experienced with POCUS, central line and arterial line placements, temporary HD catheter placement, ventilation management and have a full grasp of most critical care concepts like treatment of sepsis, treatment of DKA, acute management of pressors and inotropes,
- The APP works to the FULL EXTENT of licensure and will be expected to teach and mentor,
- Graduate of Acute Care NP program
- Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant program
- Prefer APP with 2-5 years of critical care experience or 1 year completion of an APP critical care fellowship or residency,
- Current NJ APN/PA license required
- NCCPA certification required
- CDS required
- DEA required
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- RN required
