Job Summary

RWJUH is seeking a part time APP for the MICU. This position will work collaboratively with the Rutgers faculty to provide acute critical care.

Essential Functions

• APP will be responsible for rounding on and managing critical care patients in collaboration with the faculty and resident team,
• The APP should be experienced with POCUS, central line and arterial line placements, temporary HD catheter placement, ventilation management and have a full grasp of most critical care concepts like treatment of sepsis, treatment of DKA, acute management of pressors and inotropes,
• The APP works to the FULL EXTENT of licensure and will be expected to teach and mentor,
  
  

Education

• Graduate of Acute Care NP program
• Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant program
  
  

Experience

• Prefer APP with 2-5 years of critical care experience or 1 year completion of an APP critical care fellowship or residency,
  
  

Licenses and certifications

• Current NJ APN/PA license required
• NCCPA certification required
• CDS required
• DEA required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• RN required
