The successful candidate will provide patient care in accordance with practice policies and New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners guidelines, functioning as an independent healthcare provider
Responsibilities
- Coordinates emergent inpatient care through collaboration with the attending Physician
- Organizes and achieves quality performance in new routine
- Coordinates aspects of patient care
- Performs appropriate assessments and treatment for patients
- Performs appropriate interpretation of laboratory/diagnostic testing
- Performs basic bedside procedures such as central line removal, feeding tube insertion, rhino rocket insertion
- Performs duties independently and coordinates care with the bedside nurse, attending physician, and other consulting providers
- Regularly communicates with nursing staff concerning patient care issues
- Shift: Night (3 twelve hour shifts weekly, every third weekend requirement)
- Acute care certification preferred
- FCCS certification preferred
- 1 to 2 years acute care hospital experience preferred
- Current APN or PA certification
- Current NJ state license, CDS and DEA
- Current BLS and ACLS required
- 2-3 years of inpatient, acute care, and neuroscience experience
