Job Overview:

Provides nutritional care services to patients by assisting in the implementation of selected prescribed dietary regimens,

Coordinates various aspects and task functions of the diet office with the patient tray service,

Visits patients and families to obtain menu selections,

Qualifications:

Required:

High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

1-2 years in health care related facility in comparable position

BS in Nutrition or working toward degree,

Scheduling Requirements

Shift working: varies, day shifts,

6a-2:30p, 7a-3:30p, 8a-4:30p, 11a-7:30p, 3:30p-7:30p

Days to work: varies, but must be available some weekdays and weekends and some holidays,

PER DIEM

Essential Functions:

Visits all patients and gets a menu selection for all meals,

Prepares menus and coordinates meals for trayline,

Ensures all patients receive a meal in compliance with their diet order,

Other Duties:

Answering phones in a timely and professional manner,

Provides excellent customer service,

Prints meal tickets and coordinates service for patients' meals,
