About the role

An opportunity has arisen within the Production Department for a Cleaning Technician. The successful candidate will be based in Houston, TX and will report to the NDT/Clean Lead & the Production Manager. The Cleaning Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient cleaning of industrial and marine gas turbine parts, including abrasive, chemical, and hand cleaning including the performance of maintenance tasks and chemical replacement/disposal.

This an hourly non-exempt position.

An overview of your day

  • Perform chemical, abrasive, and hand cleaning of industrial and marine gas turbine parts.
  • Assist paint technician with masking, abrasive cleaning, and blasting of parts.
  • Assist in the disposal of chemical waste while making sure to follow company policy and procedures, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Monitor chemical solutions, periodically replenishing and changing in order to maintain optimal levels for use at all times.
  • Complete periodic inspection checks and maintenance of clean line plant and equipment to help ensure their proper functioning, longevity, optimal performance.
  • Update quality and electronic records in the Company database to maintain proper documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area while following company policies.
  • Work on parts that require respiration, as needed.

What we need from you

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Chemical and abrasive cleaning experience preferred
  • Experience working in an industrial environment preferred
  • Must be able to read & interpret maintenance manuals and technical publications to determine work procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft suite including Excel and Outlook.

Flexible Work Schedule

All regular full-time employees are eligible to participate in our flexible work schedule, which consists of five (5) workdays of eight (8) hours in one week and four (4) days of ten (10) hours in the second week for a total of eighty (80) hours during two (2) consecutive work weeks. The schedule allows every second Friday to be taken provided the agreed hours of work are fulfilled. Employees can “opt-out” and work the regular work week.
