RWE Design Build is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to support our growing portfolio of projects in the veterinary, dental, and medical sectors. This role focuses primarily on HVAC system design within an integrated design-build environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and engineer full HVAC systems for healthcare facilities
- Perform site visits to assess existing MEP/HVAC systems
- Develop HVAC layouts, zoning diagrams, and system plans
- Conduct mechanical code research and ensure compliance
- Produce 3D HVAC and piping models in Revit
- Manage multiple projects across various design phases
Requirements:
- 7 years of mechanical engineering experience (HVAC-focused)
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- Strong Revit proficiency
- Experience with commercial buildings (healthcare preferred)
- PE is preferred, but not required
- Plumbing experience a plus, but not required
Basic knowledge of the following areas:
- NFPA standards
- Computer generated HVAC Heatloads, energy modeling and HVAC equipment sizing
- Technical Submittal reviewing process Bid reviewing process
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Bluebeam Revu
- LEED AP certified professional experienced in obtaining LEED’s certification for industrial buildings.
- Extensive experience with large-scale water-cooled chillers is preferred.
- International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes
- ASHRAE Handbooks / Standards
- ASPE design handbooks
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
