Job Summary: Material Handler’s primary duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses, and ensuring deliveries match purchase orders properly. Please note this is not a warehouse position. Roof Loaders are responsible for safely and efficiently delivering materials to job sites with Drivers. Deliver materials to the job site and loads materials on rooftops.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Experience in a physically demanding, labor-intensive position lifting to 80-100 lbs. properly, repeatedly, and daily.
- Responsible for loading and unloading on various roofs (pitched, flat and multi-level). So must not have a fear of heights.
- Operate a forklift and hand controls in a safe manner.
- Must have basic math skills for inventory counts; verbal and written skills to be able to read purchase orders and communicate with team members.
- Be reliable, safe, and a team player.
- Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
- Performs general facility cleanup and other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all safety rules and guidelines.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and climb ladders throughout shift.
- Forklift experience preferred or will be trained.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work weekends/overtime.
- Deadline and Detail-oriented
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass Background. Drug Test and Lift Test.
