Role Description: The Vice President, Originations will be responsible for leading and scaling RWA Group's originations and business development platform. This individual will oversee a growing team of loan originators, drive production growth, establish performance standards, and expand the firm's network of brokers, referral partners, real estate investors, and professional operators.
The role combines sales leadership, business development, relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives. The Vice President, Originations will be responsible for building and managing a robust pipeline of lending opportunities, supporting the sourcing and structuring of transactions, and developing strategic partnerships that drive long-term growth.
Working closely with executive leadership, underwriting, legal, and operations teams, the successful candidate will help shape the future growth of the platform while creating scalable processes and accountability across the origination function.
Qualifications
Qualifications- 5 years of experience in private lending, mortgage lending, commercial real estate finance, private credit, business development, or a related financial services field, preferred.
- 2 years of leadership experience managing originators, account executives, business development professionals, or sales teams, preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of originating, sourcing, and closing high-quality lending opportunities while driving production growth.
- Proven success in business development and lead generation, with the ability to build and maintain a robust pipeline of lending opportunities and strategic relationships.
- Experience developing business plans, pipeline forecasts, go-to-market strategies, and growth initiatives within a lending, investment, or real estate environment.
- Strong negotiation and transaction management skills, including structuring terms, resolving issues, and coordinating with legal, underwriting, and operational stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and expand relationships with mortgage brokers, real estate investors, developers, professional operators, and referral partners.
- Strong understanding of business-purpose lending, residential investment real estate, bridge lending, fix-and-flip, and ground-up financing, and related lending products.
- Experience evaluating lending opportunities, assessing risk, and communicating recommendations effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience implementing CRM systems, pipeline management processes, and performance accountability frameworks.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Existing network within private lending, residential investment real estate, or private credit is strongly preferred.
- Experience scaling an origination platform or building a sales team is highly desirable.
- Self-directed, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and performance-driven environment.
