Duties
- Monitor access at guard shack locations, surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity and prevent security breaches
- Control access to buildings and restricted areas by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential hazards or security vulnerabilities
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism, employing conflict management techniques to de-escalate disputes
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting and record-keeping purposes
Experience
- Proven experience in security operations or law enforcement roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and loss prevention strategies
- Background in military or security service enhances readiness for this role
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly and effectively
- Familiarity with security protocols, loss prevention techniques, and emergency response procedures
