Since 2014, RW Gate Company has designed and manufactured the highest quality water control gates and related equipment used in water control systems. In a short time, we have become a leader in the Water and Wastewater industry. Due to rapid growth, we are looking to fill a new position, the Inventory Specialist.
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for performing cycle counts, resolving inventory discrepancies, receiving, stocking, and staging materials for assembly in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
This position reports directly to the Production Manager and be responsible for all inbound warehouse receiving and supporting documents/transactions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Research and reconcile any inventory discrepancies, receipt exceptions, shipping issues, customer returns, or damaged material.
- Receive material coming into the building by Contractors, customers, or other warehouses to be routed to offsite operations for further processing. Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list and work orders.
- Communicate with third party contractors, internal buyers, and Planners about any issues, concerns or needed corrections to deliveries/inventory.
- Load common carrier vehicles with outbound materials as needed.

Core Skills/ Previous Experience:
- 2 years of experience in inventory control within mid to high-volume, made to order fabrication shop is preferred.
- Previous experience or certification to operate forklift is preferred.
- Must have previous experience organizing, maintaining, and controlling inventory movements within a fabrication environment.
- Previous experience in Great Plains ERP system (or similar) is preferred.
- Motivated self-starter with excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Exhibit a positive, and helpful attitude within a continuous improvement environment.
- Excellent computer skills with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
- Ability to carry out tasks independently as well as cooperatively within a diverse workforce.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position will require the employee lift up to 50 lbs. frequently, bend and stoop frequently, stand and/or walk long periods of time, and perform repetitive motions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
