Expected hours: 40 hours per week
General Responsibilities:
The IT Support Technician will troubleshoot and maintain the organization's network systems.
**Safety Sensitive**
Reports To: IT Systems Manager
Essential Functions:
Maintains network systems, installs new hardware, modifies existing hardware, and maintains related network software and applications.
Installs and maintains peripheral devices, including printers, hubs, routers, and other equipment.
Communicate with end users to understand and troubleshoot problems.
Conducts periodic diagnostics and testing to ensure optimal network function and minimal downtime.
Maintains email and intranet services, adding and removing users and accounts.
Collaborates with the network administrator to review and analyze hardware and software needs; recommends changes.
May be required to work on-call or long hours in case of network malfunction.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in network maintenance and user technical support preferred.
- A , Network , and/or similar certifications are highly preferred.
- Associate's degree in computer science or equivalent experience preferred.
Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
- Excellent workstation and network troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to handle protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
